Valencia Agnew, MA, LLP is a highly trained clinician in helping individuals
overcome past and present traumatic events in life that interfere with
present day functioning.

She is a well-respected clinician, widely known for working with sexual
victimization, domestic violence, and safety/protection issues with children
and adults. In addition her strengths include addressing relationship issues,
anxiety disorders, depression, and anger management with adults, adolescents,
and children.

There are many challenges in our society today and Valencia is able to help in
maintaining balance and enhancing coping skills. Her practice utilizes
individual, family, group, play therapy, and marital therapies within the
context of spirituality, to support individuals and families in challenging
current difficulties.

Treatment interventions include helping clients identify and utilize their
strengths in exploring how personal thinking patterns and behaviors are
roadblocks in reaching personal goals, and to identify and implement healthy,
effective life management skills.

Valencia earned her Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology from Western
Michigan University. In addition, she holds certifications in specialized areas
of training and maintains membership in several well respected organizations.
Valencia is skilled in the Spanish language and culture, and provides
psychotherapy services in Spanish as well.
