My education consists of a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Colorado Christian University and Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University. I am a Limited License Professional Counselor in the state of Michigan. As limited license professional I receive clinical supervision from a Licensed Professional Counselor.
I spent my first two years a counseling professional in an inpatient psychiatric setting. My time working as an inpatient counselor has given extensive experience working with people in crisis. My clientele has been diverse with respect to gender, age, ethnicity, social background, economic background, and degree of impairment. I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families.
Therapy is a relationship building process and an opportunity for individuals to invest in their own wellbeing. I work collaboratively with clients to help them along their journey to wellness. I provide a calm and safe environment for individuals to examine and explore difficult and challenging life issues. I specialize in working with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, and adjustment issues. I utilized multiple approaches with an emphasis on person-centered and cognitive behavior therapy (CBT). In therapy we will work together to formulate a plan for growth and to improve mental wellness through talking and brainstorming. I look forward to talking with you!
