Valencia Agnew received her Masters degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University and is pursuing her doctorate degree at Walden University. She is a limited licensed psychologist, licensed by the state of Michigan to diagnose and treat mental illness as well as perform psychological evaluations.

She is committed to excellence by maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, and through continuing education to stay knowledgeable in up to date techniques, theories, and interventions. Her dedication, passion, extensive trainings, skills, and warm personality make her a very effective clinician.

Valencia's experience includes court testimony in West Michigan in child sexual abuse/assault cases. She has worked with judges, lawyers, probation officers (adult and juvenile), Children's Protective Services, Children's Assessment Center, and Fostercare Agencies.
|

While Valencia is a native of Grand Rapids, she has had extensive training in the Latin American culture. Her education includes college level classes as well as a summer in Cuernevaca (Mexico) studying both the language and the culture. She continues to improve her skills through ongoing education with her personal instructor and interpreter. Valencia takes pride in her ability to serve a diverse population of clients.

In addition, Valencia is part of the ministry team of her local assembly. She is actively involved in promoting both spiritual growth as well as emotional health and stability within her assembly and its affiliates.
