Valencia is able to complete
assessments for family court (custody, visitation, etc) as well as
provide monthly reports for juvenile probations officers.
|
|
Individuals who are referred by other therapists for
group are expected to work in conjunction with their
therapist. |

In addition, she is able to assist parents and teachers in planning IEP's about
the emotional needs of a child being seen by her in therapy.

balanced physically, emotionally, and spiritually, about the emotional health and
state of the family, proactive parenting, and prevention of sexual abuse.

DBT - Dialectical Behavioral Therapy is very useful in reducing suicidal behaviors,
reducing anger, reducing self-defeating behaviors, improving social functioning
and relationships with others. DBT is also effective in helping individuals
gain emotional control and balance their tolerance distress levels. While this
treatment is effective with persons diagnosed with Borderline Personalities, it
is also beneficial in many other situations.

EMDR -
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. EMDR is information
processing therapy. While there are several applications for EMDR, it is
most widely used with indviduals having experienced traumatic events.

Play Therapy -
In summary, is the process where trained therapists use the therapeutic powers
of play to help children prevent or resolve difficulties and achieve optimal
personal growth and development.

Filial Play Therapy -
Therapist trains parents through the use of play how to understand their
children more deeply, to explore their own reactions to issues, and to guide
parents in problem solving. FPT is effective in strengthening parent-child
relationships and in enhancing families.

Psychodrama -
Guided dramatic action to examine problems raised by an indvidual to
facilitate insight, personal growth, to clarify issues, increases physical and
emotional well being, enhances learning, and develop new coping skills.

|
CRS -
The Certified Relationship Specialist designation is granted based on the therapist having a proven level of stringent dedication to continuing education, knowledge of up-to-date techniques, extensive training, solid experience, and an ongoing drive to build greater skills and expertise. With specialized training and expertise, CRS help clients solve a myriad of relationship problems with their peers, the public, or their own families and friends.

Is comprised of a group of therapist who attend scheduled educational seminars and workshops provided by Spectrum Health to improve the level of awareness and treatment provided to new mothers and their families. |
