My education consists of a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Services , and a Master’s Degree in Counseling
Psychology from Western Michigan University. I am also licensed as an TLLP and LLPC in the State of Michigan. This allows me to perform intellectual and psychological testing, as well as diagnose and treat mental health disorders. In addition, I receive ongoing supervision from a fully licensed psychologist. I have had a great opportunity to work in a variety of settings I have worked with clients of victim of domestic abuse, persons with Borderline Personality Disorder, and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, as well as family members needing support for caring for a loved one with mental illness. I also have a large array of experience in my three internships, where I worked with victims of domestic violence, veterans, and neurological and cognitive disorders in adults. I have also had 3.5 years of being a Registered Behavior Technician, doing Applied Behavior Analysis treatment with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Some of the techniques that I have been trained in working with individuals and families are: Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also have experience with modified Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy. I believe that individuals and families can all experience a similar situation, with a very unique perspective and leaving a different effect on each individual. I have a strong belief in every person deserving and needing compassion and help. I always see the person in any individual first and let them share their experiences with me.
My goal is to provide culturally sensitive, compassionate, and beneficial services to those in need. I aim to help people find their goals in life and accompany them on their journey to wellbeing. I believe in helping people find their life worth living.
