My education consists of a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Grand Valley State University and a Master of Arts in School Counseling from Western Michigan University. I have had my Limited License Professional Counselor since 2015.
My career has been spent working with children, adolescents, and families in the West Michigan area. I have treated a variety of disorders and challenges including, ADHD, trauma, abuse, mood disorders, suicidal ideation, and self-harm and have worked with a wide range of disorders and difficulties in my time as a home-based therapist and an adolescent residential unit. Children and adolescents have endless potential and I feel each should have the opportunity to grow and learn how to best manage their symptoms.
My goal is to provide an environment that is empathetic, compassionate, and safe. People need a safe space to process what they are experiencing, and it is my goal to provide that. Ultimately, my hope is for others to learn how to manage their lives in a way that makes them feel successful and to become the best version of themselves.
